More mobile options ?

Hello,

I would like to suggest more options into the template for smartphones.
In fact I would like to design proper Apps based on Joomla!
To do that I'd love to have :
1-a way to fix the topmenu bar even on low screens
2-a way to fix the offcanvas to the left or right (and not only the button as it is actually)
3-a way to fix the left and/or right position
4-a way to have offcanvas positions on top, left, right, or bottom ! (and of course a way to have them fixed)
5-a way to have horizontal fixed grid mode (the vertical is great, but having it horizontal would help designing for Iphone, and "helps" not to fix the top menu in this case...

Hope this is not too weird :)

Hi there,

Thanks for your ideas.

1. Just responded to your other thread there.

2. Not sure what you mean by this. Offcanvas is by nature off the canvas :) or do you mean to be able to swipe and then shift the menu onto the canvas?

3. Thats really design dependant and we do have that in themes like Sidetrack etc but sidebars don't work so well on small screens.

4. At the moment T3 out of the box only offers left or right. But I think there is no reason why that cant be added to the core themes at some point.

5. Not following that one sorry :)

1. Thanks !

2 & 4. Oups, yes, my bad, it's much more to be able to have a Offcanvas top, left, right, bottom only in fact ! In a fix way it does not make sense, very true :)

3.In fact, I'd like to have module positions to "encapsulate" the template like "top-fixed", "left-fixed", "right-fixed", "footer-fixed".
Or maybe a bit as you explained a css property to fix directly into the module may work ?

5. Look here :

There's a typo problem (the text is outside the template)I think it's because of my optimisations, but it's perfect to see how I would like to have horizontal grid...
The problem with that, is that would also require a kind of mask on the template to only show the visible part of the page...
Not sure it's really clear, I can make an image to explain better...

I'm not really following

Think the typo may relate to the span tags - if you use a standard p tag with text in does that solve that?

Cheers
