info email address

I have two email addresses associated with a website. One is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and the other is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and both email addresses are functioning correctly.

However, when I enter the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it into the website it does not come up as a link to that email address:

But when I enter the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it into the website, it does come up as link to that email address:

How can I get the info@zesthomeloans to also come up as a link?

I think we are talking about a few things

Joomla has a plugin called email cloaking which converts the code to javascript

However I think you are referring to mailto is that correct?

Sorry, I'm not sure?

I just want it to work the same as the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it on the site. So it changes to the green colour, and when you hover over it and click it, it opens up a new email window.

You can see how the awatkins.... email works here: www.zesthomeloans.com.au/index.php/experts

If you want that to work you will need to add a mailto

I should point out that mailto doesn't always work as it depends on the viewers set up e.g. my client won't use mailto

If using JCE when you set up the link there is an email icon to create a mailto

How come the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it works but the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it doesn't?

Can you please point me to some instructions on how to add a mailto?

The awatkins@zesthomeloans works on this page:
www.zesthomeloans.com.au/index.php/experts

But the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it does not work on both of these pages:
www.zesthomeloans.com.au/index.php/contact-us
www.zesthomeloans.com.au

All 3 of them are typed into a Custom HTML

Right thanks.

Joomla handles content in modules differently to content in the main component area.
Int he module setting there is an option called prepare content. Try turning that on - or off to see if that fixes it.

Otherwise I would recommend that you use this plugin:
www.nonumber.nl/extensions/emailprotector

Which will be able to handle what you want to do.
Thanks

If you do come across similar problems with emails and dynamic modules the module recommended by Anthony will do the trick

And thanks for the update
