I would like to make the footer the full width instead of 3/4 or whatever it is. It doesn't give me the option in the template manager to make it full width and I couldn't find the exact files to hack in the t3 folder under plugins/system. I am sure it is simple when you know where to look

Didn't realize you had responded until now. Sorry about that.

I would like the footer to take up the full length of the template. In the template manager I can't set the width like I can with for instance the menu position to take up 12 units or number 1 selection. In other words, that is the only module position that says 'Auto' whereas the other modules has unit numbers.

You would need to edit

\templates\base3\tpls\blocks\footer.php

You would need to remove the copyright block for this and set the footer section to 12 for all widths
