Base3 - Re-order articles?

In the old days, it was a simple matter of moving the articles up or down the list.. and setting the order to "joomla order" (or something like that - terminology may be incorrect).

I am having a whale of a time trying to change the order of articles so that they present properly in the front end. See attached screenshot please:

Its not as simple as that I'm afraid as you are using filters in a module

You may have more control using the module settings sort order
