Images too contrasty

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Just installed base3 and have noticed that all the images on the homepage - except slideshow - are very highly contrasted. I even tried changing some of them in the Gallery bit, but they are the same. Is there a setting somewhere I can tweak for this?

Are you on a local host or a live server?

Cheers

This normally means you are using a buggy version of the php GD image library

Can you confirm the version being in the site?

PHP 5.5.9. I can roll it back all the way to PHP 5.2 on my hosting control panel if needed?

Might be worth downgrading to a 5.4 version and then uploading a new image

I wouldn't suggest doing any work on the site till you can upload an image via zentools that looks normal

Not sure if you can change/update the gd library so would try the php route

Rolled back the PHP version on my hosting panel from 5.5 to 5.4. Then re-uploaded images. They now seem to be fine and as expected.
