Where is my video?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I have installed the JCE Media Manager and attempted to insert videos numerous times with zero success. What am I missing?
Thank you for your consideration

Have you changed the JCE configuration option for iframes?

Yep that is the one

That stops JCE stripping the code

Are you pasting the embed code given by youtube?

Paste the html into the page using the HTML editor (two arrows pointing in opposite directions on the pic)

Well I hate updating extensions so I could also be described as lazy - has been said :)

If I recall, you need the paid version of JCE to enable iframes. And that, too, must be updated from time to time. :)

when i go to get the JCE iframes plugin, I am greeted with

Since the o.p. has media manager (also a paid plugin), the necessary privileges may already be in place.

As for me, I am not only lazy. I am cheap. :pinch:

oh I do cheap don't worry about that - I pay for the minimum and really use what I buy

I don't use the iframes plugin I just enable the setting in the component and paste the embed code directly from vimeo or youtube

This thread should be useful - it does go on a bit and its about using a lightbox and video but it has the path to settings in the JCE free component editor

Thanks for your help ....I think the problem was trying to insert a video in a module attached to a Zentools filter. I disabled the Zentools filter for the module that I was trying to put the video in and then I was able to load it. I noticed that the general settings for Zentools filter do not present a video as a content option (see attachment). I just wont use the Zentools feature for this module and I should be okay.
Thanks again .... lots of good stuff on this thread ...I will be sure to review.
