Mega Menu dropdown column width

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,
I have 5 columns in my Mega menu dropdown. I want them to share the whole width of the submenu, without blanc space on the right.
In column configuration I can choose a width between 1 and 12.
If I set each column to 3, they will not fit.
If I set each of them to 2, there is a blanc space on the right.

Is there a way to achieve this ?
Thank you,
Beatrice

Hi Beatrice,

The problem with 5 columns is 5 into 12 doesn't go as I'm afraid there will be space at the end

So you need to divide the space between the columns to 12 e.g. perhaps the first column would be 4?

Cheers

2.4 maybe ?? :unsure:
Yes, that's what I thought...
I don't mind the empty space too much. It's more about the columns being too narrow and dropping down too low because of text wrapping...
Nothing to do via css ?
Thank you,
Béatrice

I'm not sure on the css nobody has asked this question before

Do you have a link for the site? (with the space on the right)

Hi Béatrice,

Its a bit hard to exact as different browsers handle fraction of percentages differently and the first column pic is a little small when I adjust the values but try working with the css below

.mega-dropdown-inner .col-xs-2 {
width: 19.67%;
}

So adjust the value above when you add it to the custom.css file and check to see how the site looks in both IE and Chrome / firefox etc

Also please bear in mind that this will affect any other menu column of this width :)

so any two columns used in the menu will be wider so throwing out width calculations using two column widths

Well, that looks perfect ! In Chrome at least. Will check other browsers tomorrow.
I changed to image of the first column to have the same size as the other columns.
Thanks a million Paul !
