right so I've set the links to point to the content item in the general settings

prior to this, it was set to none

However the articles being set to load don't load correctly

This the itemid issue - where the home page reloads due to no menu link existing on the site

Ok, but the dark div boxes are still full width, which is the problem I raised the issue about.
I didn't want the slideshow to have links, just to show the images and the text, with the dark boxes being the width of the text.

I'm a bit confused about what's happening now anyway.
I see in the uri bar, 8-slideshow/15-tr-slideshow-3
I would have assumed these are article aliases, but as far as I know there aren't any objects with those aliases??

Right, so about the issue I actually raised: In the demo the box around the text is the width of the text but for my site it is a full fixed width.
Are you able to fix this?

Ifs a different slideshow type which I have changes

so instead of overlay its standard

I've set the links to none
