MegaMenu and Google Chrome

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

MegaMenu does not drop down in hover on Google Chrome. Also submenus can't be accessed. I've searched both this forum and the net generally but can't find solution to this problem. Anyone have any fixes for this? Thanks.

Hi Paul,

Yes, it is still not working here. Windows 8.1, Google Chrome (up-to-date). Strangely enough the demo site on Joomla Bamboo works fairly well (although dropdowns stay in place until you click away from them). In view of your coment re JQuery, I disabled the comments module in the menu but this didn't appear to help.

Bit strange.

Thanks for your help.

Best,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Definitely odd as I'm using a Windows 8.1 machine using an up to date version of chrome

Anthony on a mac using Chrome doesn't see an issue either
Do you see any error in the console window?

I'm guessing you went down the clearing of the browser route?

Hi Paul,

Yes. I've cleaned the browser. Console gives a couple of errors (sorry, should have checked that myself!) Error codes as follows:

www.joomlabamboo.com/cyber/assets/anything-digital.png Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
/templates/jbsub/js/jquery.cycle2.js.map:1 GET www.joomlabamboo.com/templates/jbsub/js/jquery.cycle2.js.map 404 (Not Found)

I'm going to investigate these now. Will keep you posted.

Peter

Hi Paul,

It would have been better to post the actual errors from my site as opposed to the nonsense above.

hmm that issue is relating to a bug with chrome itself I think.

Are you able to test on a different machine?

Hi Paul,

Screen res is 1366 x 768.

I'm heading off to an office with other Windows machines just now and will check it out. I use Firefox as my main browser with extensions etc. but my version of Google Chrome is just the out-the-box, vanilla version so I can't see anything that would be causing this locally. If it does turn out to be local then good and well - no doubt I'll discover what the gremlin is in the fullness of time. If it replicates on other machines, then, obviously, I have a problem. I'll keep you posted.

Many thanks for your time on this.

Best,

Peter

Hi Paul,

Forgot to mention that I have tried Chrome on Mac and that also works fine. Looks increasingly like a local issue but will test on other Windows set-ups.
