I've set up the New Lifestyle template with HikaShop, similar to the demo version of the template, but have a query about the search icon.

There is a search block on the navigation bar that hooks into the Joomla! search or Smart Search features. But anyone who has used HikaShop know that these features aren't as thorough or well presented as using the search function available through HikaShop Filter's search option.

So I'm wondering, as this template was design with HikaShop (at least partially) in mind, is there any way to use the HikaShop search in the search slot, instead of the limiting J! versions?

What happens when you add the hikashop search module?

Sorry - been having some hosting issues. Fixed now

Are you able to adjust the search width via a setting? as its currently set at 99%

if the width is reduced the buttons will line up and then its a simple case of styling them

I don't use hikashop much

No, afraid not. It's a completely different layout - there isn't even search icon. I was hoping for a way for it to stay the same, but the popout box to be of the HikaShop search.

Not to worry - I'll find another way to search the site.
