'Top' module positions not available

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi all,
I have created a menu that I would like to place in the TOP4 position.
When I go to 'Position' in the Module Menu, nothing for TOP exists in the list.
What is available is Banner, Search, Menu, Breadcrumb, Grid1-12, Above content, Sidebar 1 and 2 etc.
Any idea what is happening and how to fix it?
The normal menu position and everything else seems to be working.
Sorry I can't send a link as I'm working locally.

Regards, Nick

Follow-up.
Seeing as I could not get the Top4 to work, I decided to install Base 3.
Base 3 has Top 4, so I clicked on that for the menu - all good. It showed up where it should.
INTERESTING BIT...when I changed back to New Livestyle, TOP 4 was still selected from Base 3 for the menu item - and it worked in New Lifestyle! - BUT - there is still no selection for TOP 4 in New Lifestyle.
Work that one out!

One can only assume that the templates are interacting. Is this normal or only happening because I am on Win 7 with XAMP?

Oh, while you are here, there is no 'Menu alignment' for Base 3 that I can find. The menu at the moment is right aligned (as per New Lifestile...) and I'd like it to be left. any ideas?

Think there is a slight glitch with the top positions
If you create a module and assign them to that position by typing it in
e.g. top1

Then in the layout tab chose the correct number of positions - the numbers may be in correct

The use the cog on the position to chose the module position you used for the module above e.g. top1

Paul,
Attached is a screen grab of the menu.
The menu items aligned nicely right across the page until I reduced the number of menu items. As soon as I did that the menu shifted to the right leaving a gap on the left.
Odd behaviour.
Any suggestion to fix it would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Nick

Just discovered this in template.css: 2723
.zenright ul {
float: right;
margin-right: 20px;
}

removing the 'float: right' fixes the issue, but I don't know what else that may affect.

The menu alignment option is at the bottom of the layout tab in the template if you want to change to left

The space on right is due to the space for the off canvas link

Thanks. I never scrolled down that far to actually see the menu alignment option!

With the Base3 right-aligned menu location, yes thank you.
With the top positions not showing up - I decided that Base 3 was better for what I needed, so left New Lifestyle - and that issue - unresolved, but I am sure your proposed solution would have worked.
Base 3 also has top position, and that worked without a problem.
