Hi Paul

I'm having the same problem with www.midwestmeats.com.au on Safari.

What do you recommend to fix the problem - agreed that the logo is quite large, but that is what the client wants.

I've read through this thread and I'm not exactly sure how to fix it.

Thanks
Brett

Hi Brett,

Are you able to try sizing the image so it matches the Chrome resized size?

Chrome is helping you out by resizing other browsers won't

The image file path is

www.midwestmeats.com.au/images/logos/TopBanner5.jpg

The size of this image is 3874px x 801px

its also slowing the loading of the site generally

Cheers

Thanks Paul

I resized the image to 891 x 184 px and it's still being covered up.

Next suggestion please.

Thanks

I can't reliably test in safari as I'm a PC user and the PC version is so old and bug ridden

What I see in firefox is the browser interpreting the top value differently

This is the offending the line

<section class="clearfix" id="slideshowwrap" style="top: 124px;">

Do you also see that in Safari?

Hi Paul

This is what I'm seeing in Safari:

element.style {
top: 120px;

If I remove that line, then it works ok.

How to do that without upsetting everything else?
Thanks

Hi Brett,

Could you create a ticket so we can take a look

We will need ftp access to edit the js file

on a totally different note

I'd look to see if you can't optimise these two image files

www.midwestmeats.com.au/images/midwestpatern2.jpg

www.midwestmeats.com.au/media/mod_zentools/cache/images/midwest-meats-refer-a-friend-web-2fa285b1405c7010062ae7d754f5d308.png

Seems to be working now

Can you confirm - did you reduce the image load on the site?
