Change H style for blog article header - and less padding between article title and article text

I am using the New Lifestyle template.

For the Joomla category blog, my client wants the article title to be h1, not h2.

Client also wants less padding between the h1 article title and the first row of article text.

I've reviewed the forum and tried various fixes and can't get it to work. Any ideas?

For each article title in the category layout you want it to be a h1?

If you go to

\templates\newlifestyle\html\com_content\category\blog_item.php

and rename the h2 to h1 - does that work for you?
