zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

I can't access the php files located in \templates\newlifestyle\tpls\blocks\ for edit. I get the following error message:

Warning: Extension record not found in database

What can I do?

I'd try via ftp and take a copy of the file first

Thanks, I will, but how can I solve the issue "Can't access template's php files - Extension record not found in database"

I tried to re-install the template but I get a 500 internal server error.

I don't understand "fair along". Does it mean "just started to"?

If that is the meaning... yes, I'm working with this site just a couple of days.

sorry that was me trying to type "far along"

What happens if you switch to a default template?

Did you also upgrade Joomla recently?

Extensions > Extension manager > database is the path for that

right - not sure in that case - I'll ask a developer when they are available to see if this has cropped up with Joomla before

Hi,

Can you try going to the extensions manager and click on the discover tab.
Then click the discover button and install anything that shows up.
Then try again.

Regards,

Rob

Hi Rob,

I've done what you said but everything remains the same.

I've decided to start from scratch with JB_NewLifestyle_Quickstart_J321_v2.0.2 and still get the same issue: can't edit any php file through the administrators template manager editor - I get the same error "extension record not found in database".

I have re-installed the template and this time no 500 error. Then I tried to edit a php file via the administrators template manager editor and this time no error message "extension record not found in database" but no file listed so still can't edit anyone.

Is there a particular reason you need to edit this file via the backend of the site?
