Thanks to the suggestion from Martin - I have opened this new forum category to compile a list of words and terms that you come across during the development of your site, that perhaps need further explanation or background information.

We will eventually add what is created here to the revised documentation area which is coming soon.

Feel free to create a new thread per term and offer the definition of the term if you have one.

Can I add my thanks to Anthony for creating this section of the forum. I am a novice at webdesign and this glossary will be an enormous help to me in learning the language of Bamboo, Joomla and webdesign in general.

I think the idea, as well as adding your own terms and definitions, is to add to other people's threads if you think the definition offered, or the associated comments, are not accurate (obviously), if they aren't clear or if they can be expanded or improved upon in any way.

Yes, I think there is a debate to be had about how much detail to include in a glossary. Can I suggest something I think we might be able to agree on straight away...?
That is; that we don't include features you might describe as 'advanced'. I suggest we guide ourselves by what a novice might need to know to get their site up and running.
Any thoughts on this...?

Yep agree with you Martin.

Anything longer should have a dedicated post on the docs or the blog perhaps.

But a glossary is more like a dictionary definition. Short and succinct.
