Hi, I'm using the template "Onepage". (But my problem might not be specific to Onepage template.)

I'm having trouble with External URL menu, and looking for help here.

For example, one of my main menu is set as follows;

Menu Item Type: External URL
Link: http: //mydomain.com/#grid1-link
Target Window: Parent

- Zentools module is published on grid1
- Template > One page design? : OFF

This menu works OK when you are on HOME page.
But when you are on pages other than HOME, it does not work. (Nothing happens when clicked.)

(Strangely, if I changed the target window from "Parent" to "New Without Navigation", it opens a new window and display the content correctly when clicked.)

Would there be anything else I should do to make it work?

P.S.
The reason I disabled the "one page design" is because some pages need to be displayed alone without other modules. What I want to achieve is to have "one page scroll design" for HOME page, and usual non-onepage behavior for other pages triggered by footer menu. But I want to always keep the same main menu wherever you are. I tried assigning "one page design template" to HOME menu, and "non-one page design template" to footer menu, but the External URL menu didn't work either.

Just wanted to share the results.

Rob helped me sort this out by pointing out that the smoothscroll javascript plugin at the bottom of the file /js/template.js, which is responsible for the scrolling effect to the anchor link, prevents the default behaviour of a link that contains the pound/hash symbol (stops the page reloading).

Now I understand why it doesn't let the page reload for the link with hash symbol.

So I've decided to change the main menu structure, giving up to share the same menu between home and other pages.
Now, pages other than HOME have different set of menu.
