Hi I just installed the quickstart 2.5 at localhost. The installation was smooth and did not report any error.

When I tried to access the K2 component which was pre-installed, a 404 error was shown and component was not found.

I tried to reinstall the K2 but it do not allow me and give me the following error: Component Install: DB function reports no errors

I tried to uninstall it but received the following error:

Hi

If you use the discover option does that show certain parts of the k2 install?

You can find discover via the extension manager

Install any k2 component parts via discover and then re-install the whole k2 component via the extension manager as per normal

This is what worked for me on a user site yesterday

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Nope, I checked there and below is the message ( I did purge cache and try to run discover again)

"No extensions have been discovered. Click Discover to find new extensions that might be available for install"

Furthermore, there is another thing that I notice, when I run it using firefox 23.0 , the picture and article quote ( READ MORE) go down the page together as you scroll the page down. It looks fine in Chrome though. I print screen an example using your demo as well

Hi

Can you create a ticket - its mostly for the floating image issue but please include the component issue

I think we may need ftp access to perhaps upload a tweaked js file

Thanks

Hi Paul,

As per mentioned in the 1st post, I am currently working in a localhost environment and it is not "live" yet.

Any other solution that you can suggest?

Very sorry - missed that bit

We are working on the nebula issue - we have a partial solution at the moment

With discover I find it doesn't show straight away I have to re-click the discover button

I see..anyway, any idea when we can expect an updated nebula template to be available? As I am working on localhost, I am still ok with the current bugs but I hope I can make use of a good version when I go "live"

Hi Paul.

Is the corrected nebula already updated in the download section? If it is not updated at this point, does it mean if my site goes live, I will need to raise a ticket for you guys to fix this on my site for those mentioned bugs?

Please advice.

Thanks

Hi

There is still an issue if you disable the stickynav and an reported issue with the Surface tablet

We should be releasing an update very shortly - unfortunately we have been a bit short handed due to unexpected absences combined with holiday period

Sorry for the delay

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the update. Will check it out later

On the other note, can we increase the height of the frontpage slideshow?

Hi

You would need to adjust the settings for zentool slideshow for the image sizing and text options but you would need te banner area to be bigger so try

.fixedheight #gradient {margin-top: 500px;}
.fixedheight #topcolour, .fixedheight #topinner {min-height: 500px;}

the default is 400px for both so in the example about I'm adding 100px

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the guide. I notice that the background picture ( banner) have this zoom effect which cause me to have a hard time to adjust the picture. Is there anyway, that I can display the banner image as it is? Without any zoom effect?

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Thanks.

My client actually would like to add in E-commerce function.

Personally, do you recommend this template to be equipped with Virtuemart? Or perhaps do you have any shopping cart recommendation?

Thanks

As you are using 2.5 it does work with Virtuemart

Shopping cart recommendation is a hard one really - you will have to adapt css to work with the template whichever template you use

Iots of users seem to like hikashop but I've not as yet used it

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your kind advice.

I will see how I should proceed. Maybe I should give Hikashop a try as I am hearing a great deal about them too.

Virtuemart configuration has always been tough and does not work well with few of the templates I have work with.
