Zentools Showing html code

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I can't figure out why this is this the case, but using the grid layout for a Zentools module I get a little html code (usually the title). It's causing text to show beneath the overlay. Stange thing is, is that this is not the case for slide position 1, but in slide position 3 I have this problem for the same categories. I have toggled on and off various parameters to try and get this to show correctly. It's also happening on grid position 8.

Joomla 3.1.2
Zentools (most recent update)
Nebula 1.4.2

Any ideas folks?

Correction. I was running Joomla 3.2.4 when I wrote that post, but have since run an upgrade to 3.3.3

T3 Framework is also upgraded to 2.3.1

Site is a work in progress -

The link is here nccfc.net/nebulaquickstart2/

I will make the site back to offline after you view. Thanks.

If you link the pages to normal article pages do those speech marks go?

What is the source for the images?

Source is from content items:

For slide 1 it's specified articles
For slide 3 I am using categories

Odd behavior on the backend using Zentools too.The windows for the configuration tabs don't appear the same if I save or close a module then come back in; particularly for category settings.

I can't explain why this is happening on the front page - the code showing in the grid 8 position.

If you switch the 3rd slide to the first does that have any impact?

How are you linking to the categories? external links?

How are you linking to the categories via content or folder?

Content item, then using a parent category for the category settings.

Think perhaps a ticket may be best so we can check out what is happening

Paul, I've been doing some more playing with every single parameter and refreshing the site and I cannot get rid of the html code that shows beneath the title and closing html tag such as this example below:

Excerpts from Apostle's Message" />

when I copy paste that text here I actually get:
<strong><a target=Excerpts from Apostle's Message" />

Here's what's more interesting. I have three categories used for this zentools module and it's only affecting the 1st and 3rd. Here's a link to a picture of what I mean.

nccfc.net/zentools-grid-category-problem.jpg

I also replaced each of the images with the same image and the middle one was still unaffected.

Again what I am simply trying to achieve is show the image for categories that I choose in the slide 3 position so that users can click them and be taken to a list of articles for that category.

The module technically only supports a parent category which is supposed to show any subcategories, but that isn't working at all. So I put in my three categories in the field for parent category. In that regard it is successful in showing me the three categories that I wanted.

Side, I also noticed that for some reason my don t changed for my navigation menu not too long ago from the template original - I am no sure which font the quick start package uses there. Additionally, no matter if I toggle the tagline on or off it stays on. I am only mentioning these because maybe they're related to the problem I am having with html code showing up with my category images in this module.

Please advise. I am at my wits end with this one.

Zentools doesn't currently support a parent category you need to select the sub categories directly

With the other issues it will be easier if you create a ticket so we can see the article code directly

and look at your configuration regarding the other issues

OK, that's really interesting because the module explicitly says "parent category". Here's the image of what I am seeing and the detail shown when the mouse hovers over the "parent category" words:

Right I will check with that this evening to see if I'm talking out of my hat

But to resolve your issues we will need to see a ticket

Thank you. Paul, I am not sure how to add to a support ticket, but in the last few minutes I just noticed something. This only happens either on the front page or when the module does not have other slide positions before it. If I select another menu menu item such as "About NCCFC" where slides 1 and 2 do have not been assigned to that menu, but slide 3 (the one with the problem) is still present, the html code described in this thread does not appear. Very strange.

I'd add this to the trouble ticket, but I don't know if that's possible.
