I use the moments quickstart and I was wondering if it is possible to keep the menu bar on the left extended after clicking a menu item.
In other words can I change the menu button into an open and close button?

The menu button is an open/close toggle at the moment.
The problem here is that the default state of the menu is hidden so when you click an item the page reloads and the menu goes back to hidden.

To get it to work I think you would need to add cookies to remember the open/close state for when the page reloads but it might not be smooth and could result in the menu opening on pageload rather than just being open.

I will try and take a look over the weekend to see if it is something that can be added easily.
