Well, our site went live, and everyone says it looks great—thanks for an amazing template, and great support!

My question: What is the best way to handle image-re/sizing?

Our editors have been uploading giant photos, which not only take a long time to load on the article pages, but on the home page. Apparently, both pages load the entire image—is that correct?

If so, is there a way to have Joomla automatically create two perfectly-sized versions: one for the home page, and the other for articles?

The system would need to be smart: an image might need to be cropped before being resized or there might be whitespace (if that makes sense).

I saw this plugin:

Would something like that do the trick?

Hi Bill,

I'm not sure that one will do what you want as it creates thumbnails and links them to a popup of the original.

Maybe this one might work for you
