Menu item responsiveness

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

This is a constant issue when designing websites. If the client wants too many main menu items then often they will wrap to a second line like this example showing "webcasts":
ScreenShot2016-02-16at11.00.51AM.jpg

TEMP URL 181.224.134.27/~icd10mon/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1123&Itemid=190

1. How do you recommend resolving this responsively?
2. Feature request to include some method to have the menu act responsively. :-)

Hi

At the moment you would need media queries to adjust the link spacing or change the breakpoint to collapse to mobile type menu

I will ask anthony on this to see if he has any other ideas and regarding point 2.

Cheers

I have been experimenting with something like this: www.sitepoint.com/responsive-fluid-width-variable-item-navigation-css/

But it takes a lot to override the ZGF4 menu.less

Hi Jeff,

Yes Ive always felt that relying on the navcollapse was a little harsh. I'll look at adding some control in the Build.r theme I am working on.

Sounds like Build.r will be my new default template for all new sites....
