Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /...../htdocs/modules/mod_zentools/fields/scrip

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,
I removed my Joomla Site from my developing server to the server of my custumer...
When I like to open any zengrid modul in joomla admin, I get the following error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /WWWROOT/85547/htdocs/modules/mod_zentools/fields/scripts.php on line 1

all other moduls work fine
On both sever I have php 5.2.17

Site and template works fine... just in the adminstrator I get this error

Any idea?

Hi

When you say zengrid do you mean zentools?

If so have you tried updating it

That php version is out of date and it does need to be updated on the server - you will find many extensions won't work with that version

nonumber and Akeeba extensions are two popular series of extensions that won't work with 5.2

This is my php on the customer server www.siegfried-fischer-friesen.de/hallo-welt.php

This is my php on the test-server on which I devoleped the site, before I removed it to the cusomer server www.rasor-rasentechnik.de/testsite-fischer-friesen/hallo-welt.php (this worked)

On the cusomer server I have the problem, that I have the error, if I like to edit Zen Tools moduls in admin section.
All other moduls work after removing the site to the customer server. Only zen tool moduls have that error (attachments)

The frontend works. Only the modul-backend has an error :-S

It shouldn't kill the site

but as a matter of course its a good idea to have a backup :)

What version number are you currently using?

I'd make sure you have a backup prior to updating the module
I'm not sure if the php version supports this version given the difference in version numbers

The module will install without affecting the settings in the module

You just need to install the latest version of the module via the Joomla installer. You only lose the module settings if you uninstall first so please dont do that.
