jTweets 1.02 not showing in website (joomla 1.5)

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

Installed the jtweet module for joomla 1.5 (version of jtweet appears to be 1.02) and it worked really well showing my tweets for twitter.com/MerrowSci/ on my company website. But since last week has stopped showing the tweets on my site (www.merrowscientific.com). Very odd - any ideas?

Thanks

Hi BP,

Viewed your site and can see your tweet

16 minutes ago Please visit our company blog @ merrowscientific.blogspot

Twitter has been having a hard time over the last week with attacks

If in doubt try their main blog, they advise when they have major problems

Im not sure that it wasnt - seems like quite a few people are reporting issues that stem from last week. Let us know if it pops up again.

I'm having an issue with getting the twitter feed to load. I installed and configured everything but can't figure out what could be wrong but no tweets are coming through. I even tried a different twitter account but no love. Any thoughts?

Hey Matt,

I could not see any jTweet or Jquery scripts being loaded on that page.
Make sure that jTweet module is published to that menu item for that page and also enable the JBLibrary plugin.
Let us know how that works and if you see any results.

Cheers,
Jason.

Hey Will,

Looks like the scripts are loading well. You are missing a jQuery library so you will need to install the JB Library plugin. Download it here.
You will need to enable it in the Plugin manager.
Let me know how it works out.

Cheers,
Jason.

Hello, I'm new to Joomla. I'm having the same problem with no tweets showing, regardless of what twitter account I put. It's configured to show my tweets, and I've downloaded and enabled the JB library plugin. I get the 'follow me on twitter' text and the words 'loading tweets' flashes momentarily but they don't load.

My site isn't live ie it's got dummy copy in it so I usually take it offline but will leave it up temporarily so you guys can take a look re the problem. Please ignore all text as it's mumbo jumbo!

Thanks :)

Hey Katrina,

I checked your site a while ago and I could not spot the JTweet module on there. The site is now locked out.
You'll need the JBLibrary plugin to get the module working as well.
Do let me know when you need further assistance with this.

Cheers,
Jason.

Hi Jason

thanks for your reply. The module is on the right side of the home page (called Twitter). I have installed and enabled JB library plug in, but still only the box containing the module and the follow me text are visible - no tweets. It's not worked since I installed it last week. Can you advise? I've left the site live even though it's just dummy text in there. www.thescavenger.net

Thanks :)

Hi Katrina,

I have never used @ infront of my username, I could be wrong however I noticed on your source code that you had for the username @katrinafox might be worth a try to just use katrinafox as your username and leave the @ out

Hope that is of some help

Cheers

I have one more issue. I added a new tweet, but the old tweet is still there. The new tweet will not show. The new tweet was added about two days ago.

THanks,

William

Hi William,

Pretty sure this is related to the way that jTweet pulls the tweets from your stream. We have a new update int he works that will hopefully solve the lag issue.

Keep checking to see about our progress :)

Thanks Anthony

I'm having the same problem. I've installed and published the module, and properly installed and enabled the JB Library plugin. Still, tweets will not show.

The module is located at http://beta.psychic-wisdom.net, on the right side. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Torin,

All looks OK with your source code, I noticed Twitter is doing a major upgrade, please read it may be why your Tweet is down, noticed my Jtweet was down for a few hours even though the following link is related to tweetmeme
