Hi,

When I activate this function the pages on the site turn blank and wont load. I have tried a couple of variations with and without the htaccess file being activated, but i'm having no luck.

Any pointers I've missed

just worked out turning on the errors and i get the following:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function contentBuildRoute() in /home/sites/toastedgraphics.com/public_html/includes/router.php on line 311

does that help any?

This is a strange one. Do you know what version of php you are using? And what version of Joomla are you on?

you got me wondering and i just did a quick test on a new site and it worked fine.... so now im thinking it might be to do with the older sites maybe still being on php4 or somethign - i dont host them so will need to chase it up.

I'll dig deeper and let you know if i find the answer or not...

It might be a php4 issue and I suspect it might have to do with things being case sensitive on a unix server.

Let me know what you see here

Try updating Joomla to the latest as well.

pretty new to it so have not updated joomla on sites yet.... is it a case of downloading the latest edition from joomla.org and installing via extensions install?

This extension will do it for you really well.

Had a similar code error due to 1&1 hosting - the hosting account was on hosting php4 despite supposedly being php5 and their system wouldn't let me change the htaccess.txt despite it showing me that it had on the clients screen.

Had to use tech support to get them to change the htacess.txt file

Don't know if this helps.

I could write pages about how bad this company is - problems with billing, joomla set up problems, speed issues, "not my problem" customer service, domain transfer issues, hosting panel doesn't work in Safari but my favourite is charging for bills already refunded and when not paid sending account to debt collection!

Took me 12 hours to solve similar problem to listed above.
