No, that's totally cool. Actually, quick question:

Now that I'm a real member of the community and all, I tried to use JB_Type in'a K2 element (item) today and it no workie. I'm guessing that's how it's supposed to be, right?

Anyways, I'm totally new to the whole K2 thing. It's scares me to be honest, even though it looks really cool. My brain just isn't one that handles change well, so I'm hoping I can get my head wrapped around it.

Hey Nerfie,

The current JB Type plugin will only work with content processed by the com_content component. The next version of JB Type which is now working and being tested, should work well with K2 or any other component.
Look forward to a release over the weekend.

And yeah, K2 is nice

JB Type v1.1 is released.


It is a system plugin now so uninstall the old content -jb type plugin before installing this.

Hey Jason:

Quick question. The site this all started all this has a dark grey background. I added some test articles and use a fiew different types (i.e., jb_info, jb_quoteleft, jn_new) and discovered that they're all PNGs with transparent backs, but the jb_new has a white background. I'm not sure if this is the case with any others, but am wondering if you could put out a new set of icons where they're all transparent.

Unless, of course, I've messed something up again.

Again, this thing is so friggin' cool. Like Seth said, "You can't ask for more..."!

Not forgotten at all. Just that there a lot of images on the set with white backgrounds. If it is only the new image you need to be edited then I could probably alter that alone and send it across. Will have to be done later today. Let me know. If there is any other image you would like to use instead, then you can simply replace the image
/plugins/system/jbtype/images/coquette/new.png

PS (different subject) - Have you guys ever considered utilizing your vast tools and capabilities to put together a K2 based social component? I was looking at K2 (as you know) and have been looking for a social component for Joomla, and it hit me that K2 has so many of the required tools built in... and you guys' visuals and coding are so tight... I think you could make a killing, and now that I've met you all, I'm of the mind that if you're selling, I'm buying... (See post #21208)

To be honest I dont 100% get the social thing but I realise that its very popular. Im hoping to attach a Jomsocial theme to Pixel8 after its imminent release. I agree that K2 is very flexible but I think its probably best for a multi-author blog. But Im certainly open to suggestions
