jquery.min.js loading twice on page even with JB Library

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,

I have JB library installed but on one page on the backend of Joomla I still have a javascript conflict with jquery. jQuery on this page is still loading twice (jquery,min.js)

Any suggestions how I can stop jQuery loading twice on this page? See attachment.

Thanks for quick reply Paul.
Is there any chance I can send you login details to the back-end of the development site with the page in question?

Hi

Its better in this situation to create a ticket for the site
So then the ticket team have access rather than just me

Also it enables us to fix the problem

You will need to include Joomla access

Hi Paul. I am not a paying subscriber to the forum hence why I cannot do that. Any chance you can still have a look?

Is it possible to post back when the site is accessible via a link added here?

Sure.. is this place private? ie can I give you login details via this window? You will need to login to my backend to see the issue.

No its fully accessible to the whole internet and is indexed by Google

With Jquery conflicts quite often you don't need backend access its just a case of viewing the source code of the front end of the site

To clarify I meant - are you able to post a link to the front end of the site when you are further down the road developing the site?

Hi again - sorry lunch interrupted!
I have attached again the part of the page source where you see the jQuery being loaded twice. Does that help? I only have an issue on the backend on one page of a component, which is stopping me viewing what I need to view.

A link to front-end of site will possibly not help, as this is only an issue which seems to be on one single page on the back-end (rather oddly).

As far as I can see, one jquery is loaded by the system, but that coupon extension also loads it's own jquery library. I think that you will have to either try to configure that extension not to load jquery or contact their support to ask them how to disable it

Yes that is exactly the problem. Maybe that would be an interesting JB Library development in the future if you could stop jquery from loading on specific pages.

So far the developer of the coupon extension has not got back to me on whether it is possible to disable their jQuery library... I shall keep digging. In the mean time thank you again for your help.

You can always try to use "JQuery Easy +" plugin that you can find on JED. It is a wonderful plugin and I personally use it on a website that tried to load 7 different versions of JQuery libraries. It works flawlessly

Yes a good suggestion and I have heard of that plugin. So I guess you would run one or the other - JB Library or JQuery Easy (not both)?

Yes, I would use just one plugin. Either JQuery Easy or JB Library
