Show first .$image1 as active

Hello 2 all and sorry on bad englishMy question: is it possible to show first image in gallery as active, like when we make onhover on first or other thumbs. Can state of first image be changed as visible (full sized)?
On this way (my preview is TOP state) I have to much white space on upper area of thumbnalis.
