Remove links from thumbnails

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I love the Hover Box module, it's great.

I have one question.

I put
#nogo
on Hyperlink because I don't want users to be able to click on the thumbnails. Still when you click on the thumbnails it takes you to the front page of the website.

Can I remove the link feature completely ?

Any Help is appreciated, Thanks.

Best Regards,

JA

Can I remove the click option completely so people cannot click on thumbnails at all?

Thanks Anthony.

At the moment the hover happens because of the css on a link ...

Im pretty sure its not possible without using javascript to hover without it being a click. You may however be able to change the mouse down to a mouse enter behaviour on the new zoom box effect.

Anthony:

I've just finish checking version 2.1 on a test site, i see that the function #nogo is working right on the new version (if cliked stays on the same page)

I'll try to find documentation on how to upgrade to newer version here in this forum. I don't want to reinstall because I already have multiple instances of the Modules working on the site.

Again, your Modules are great and your support too. I'll be sure to give you a good review at the joomla extensions site.

Thanks,

JA

Not sure if a database dump will do it since the xml has changed in the new version. Might be worth trying it on a test database to see if the values get transferred across.

Actually, most of the values are actually the same as the new features are just added to the end of the existing parameters. So might be worth a shot ...

I'm going to try that on a test site, let you know how it went.

By the way, I found a solution to Version 1 for #nogo to work.

(In case someone has the same problem and is not ready to upgrade because of having too many galleries created)

On the mod_hover_box.php file, replace the

by a

Now if a visitor clicks on the thumbnails, is going to go anywhere.

No need for an anchor anywhere, It's just to trick the link tag :)

Thanks,

Happy new year everybody!

Hi Nuregime,

Thanks for posting but it looks like the template/forum didnt like it. Its strange though as the full code came through in the email notification ... might need to take a snapshot. I hope the code posting might be fixed in a coming release of fireboard.
