Images disappearing

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi - I have problem with the Inspire template, J 3.2
When I pull in the width of the page the images in the grid5 zentools module lose their links. The images don't show on my iPhone either.
www.pro-practice.tv/newsite1.
I've used this template on other sites, and it works fine.
I suspect it may be to do with the module layout, but I can't see where I've gone wrong.
The only thing I've deliberately altered is an article id, which I changed in phpmyadmin, but I can't see that would be the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian,

What version number of the zentools module do you have installed?

Just curious but why have you changed the ID in phpmyadmin?

Cheers

Hi Paul - thanks for getting back to me.
It's 1.12.0.
The Zentools grid lists the articles in the order of their id numbers.
Because it was the last one I created, the only way I could get the one I wanted on the left of the grid was to renumber it to 1.
Is there another way?
Thanks again
Ian

If its Joomla 3 you can change the order various ways e.g. edit dates of articles together with different sort options in the module settings

Can you try updating to the latest version available via the downloads

Hi Paul - yes I saw there were different ways of ordering the articles, but no fine controls to place them in a specific order as you might do with menu items. It would be a good thing to have…

I've downloaded and installed zentools again, emptied the cache, but it's still happening :-(

I've got another couple of sites using the Inspire (not Desire :-)) template, and they seem to be fine. It must be something I've done…

Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian,

Can you try a test? - try disabling responsive images in the zentools module

This is for the images disappearing

With the articles you will have options about sort order - you can drag articles in article manager

I've also edited the create date in the articles to give me the order I want using the zentools created order sorting option

Hi Ian,

This is a bug if you want to see the images at the moment you will need to off the responsive image setting in the zentools module

I'd also suggest reverting the change for the IDs as there are ways round this :)

Thanks Paul - that fixed it for now :-)
Organising dates would of course fix the order of the articles - hadn't thought of that.
Didn't realise about changing the order in article manager - I'll investigate tomorrow.
Thanks again

If there weren't any bugs we'd have nothing to do :-)

Hi Paul
I'm really sorry to ask you the same thing twice, but I can't find the forum post where you helped me before.
I've lost the little tag on sidebar 2 on the Inspire template which defaults to New.
www.pro-practice.tv/newsite1/index.php/digital/generic
You told me how to make it appear again, and how to edit the text and I've just lost it.
Could you possible tell me again?
Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian,

No probs - you need to add it to the advanced tab of the module in the module suffix box (with a space first)

Hi Paul - that's not doing it for me.
I've found where I changed the text on the other site in custom.css:
.new h3:after {
content: "Navigate";
}
But the little tag has disappeared, and I can't see how to get it back.

File Attachment:

File Name: navigate.tiff.zip
File Size: 46 KB

Thanks

Ah! Found it!
new primary1 in the module suffix box.
Should have looked harder…
Thanks anyway,
