Configuring tag-filter page

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Have never used these before - but the client likes the tags. But I'm not sure how to configure the results page.

here is the results page from the demo --> link <--

scratching my head....

I've not used them much myself to be honest - we do have an article about it but not sure if it will be relevant to you

www.joomlabamboo.com/blog/how-to-joomla/tags-component-in-joomla-3

and a brief joomla.org article

docs.joomla.org/J3.2:How_To_Use_Content_Tags_in_Joomla!

My night's reading!

I have two newlifestyle build-outs in late production stages. Versatile template, and very stable.

right off the bat - the tutorial lists a tag component....but there isn't one in my dropdown. There IS one in global configuration.

Just thought I'd check by downloading the joomla.org file - its listed under components - second from bottom on a blank install

The global config is for settings

Not in my installation of newlifestyle / t3. I notice a post on the tutorial to the same effect. question is: where did it go?

You could wrap them in a div and then hide that div using css

.divname {display: none}

Not sure if that will work - we need to update the sql for you

Having a backup is a great idea though :)

After the db issue is fixed, there i will still have the first question - how to style the tags filter pages. It looks like Team J hasn;t thought about this aspect of at all. A tags page is going to be 100% custom, I think.

One wonders (or at least I do) whether a switch to K2 might be warranted. My trepidation is adding one more layer of complexity on a client who has been a good sport about training a couple folks to handle a decent size Joomla build.
