Can I remove the "design by Joomla Bamboo" link?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Templates are not licensed to remove this link. You may upgrade your account to developer to remove the link, but for all basic memberships the link must stay.

hi barbara.

You can find the link in most of the templates at the very bottom of the index.php file in the template folder. You can either change the details of the link by editing the ahref and link details or by deleting everything between the opening <a. And closing /a>. Tag.

Thanks Anthony.

I bought the $29 Rebrand rights, but I can't find this line of code. What Line is it on?

Hi Warren,
it would vary on each template but if you head to the very bottom and scan for it from there it's normally only few up. Just keep an eye out for 'Joomla Bamboo'

Hope this helps and all the best with your site.

Cheers,

Ben.

Hey Warren,

To re-brand the Grid template, you will need to edit the templates html (index.php file) and remove the following lines

lines 597 to 599 (search for <!-- Copyright --> )
<a href="http://www.joomlabamboo.com">
<img class="jbLogo" src="<?php echo $this->baseurl ?>/templates/<?php echo $this->template ?>/images/jb.png" alt="Joomla Bamboo" />
</a>

You can also replace that with your own branding if you wished.

Cheers,
Jason,

Hello,
I'm reaching the end of my "Basic" membership and getting ready to renew. Originally, I signed up to see if I like Joomlabamboo, and after a couple of months I say -- "Absolutely YES!"

I'm also looking into rebranding. Just need to clarify a couple of points...

Does the $29 rebranding fee cover the account for all downloads during the membership period? If I sign up for a 12-month "Basic" membership and pay the $29 rebranding fee, do I keep paying another $29 for each new template download?

Thanks,
Matt

Hey Matt,

That's great :) The $29 re-branding fee is per template. The developer plan lets you re-brand as many as you would like.

Cheers,
Jason.

I decided not to use Grid because the link on the images in the grid is not able to be edited to other links, it was too restrictive.

I downloaded the Folio template now and have installed that instead. I have paid for the $29 lisence but am struggling to remove the JoomlaBamboo logo. Where can the line of code for this template be found?

Hey Warren,

In the Folio Life template, you can remove the branding in the overrides for the template footer.
You can locate this here
/templates/jbfoliolife/layout/footer.php

You can remove or alter line 29 of that file
<a href="http://www.joomlabamboo.com"><img class="jbLogo" src="<?php echo $this->baseurl ?>/templates/<?php echo $this->template ?>/images/jb.png" alt="Joomla Bamboo" /></a>

Jason.

Hi,

I have just purchased the template rebranding. I am using the ZenAvanti template - what do I remove, and more importantly in what file? I can't seem to find where it is!

Thank you,

Pat :)

Hey Pat,

What you will need to do is to go to
templates/zengridframework/assets/layouts/
and you will find footer.php and footer(unbranded).php

You can rename the first to something different like footer_branded.php and rename the second to footer.php
That should do it for you.

Cheers,
Jason.

Actually you will need to then move that file across intot he templates/zen_avanti/layout folder and then enable the layout override in the template parameters eg layout > overrides.

That should do it for you. I have writing a kb article for this on my todo list so my apologies for not egtting there before you needed it :)
