zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

hi,

i bought the grid template :)

but my shear stupidity and after 8hrs of trying to do something simple i ask the forum.

all i want to do is be able to publish text using the page template that has the black bar on top, not just white as the screen shots show.

ive been trying this for 8 hrs and im in tears and i feel so stupid, maybe my feeble mind and small weener impeed me from thinking clearly LOL.

Hey Chris,

:)
I see that you have the desired look on one of your pages (features)

All you need to do is look up the latest news module in the modules manager and make sure that it is published to the topstripright position for all the desired menu items (pages) where you'd like that look.

You'll need to do the same for the custom module called slogan which is published to the topstripleft position.

Let me know how it works out.

Cheers,
Jason.

Hey Chris,

Every time you add to a menu item, you will need to make sure that the modules I mentioned before are set to publish to them. You could also set them to publish to all menu items if that is what you're after.

Let me know if I've misunderstood and also give me a link to the page where you do not see the top strip.

Cheers,
Jason.

hey anthony,

the link:
austbusinesstrader.com.au/

if you click on any of the 'features' link the pages are how i want them but i would like to remove the 'panel menu'
(this is how i want every page/section to look.......its only for text)

if you click on 'intro to buying a business' under the 'buying a business' menu item
the topleft/topright are gone?

starting think joomla was a bad idea......simple tasks become so difficult

Hey Chris,

Sometimes the learning curve on Joomla can be a little bumpy and you've set yourself quite a first project. I'd say stick with it.
I'll assume that you have already checked that you have modules published to the topstripright and topstripleft positions for the Intro to buying.. menu item.

I can't be too sure of what is happening so log us a support ticket with some Joomla logins and we will have a look into it for you.

Cheers,
Jason.

Hi Chris,

Looks like you are almost there anyway.

If you go to the module manager and edit the slideshow3 module. On the bottom left is the list of menu items for your site. You can see that it will say all, none or select menu items. The select menu items will already be selected so you will just need to go through the list and make sure that all menu items in the list are highlighted. If you do that for all bar the home menu item then the slideshow and therefore the black strip will appear on all of your sub pages.

Cheers Anthony
