This is a very simple step by step tutorial for installing your Joomla 1.5 template, using the Joomla installer. This is an entry level tutorial so if you have worked with Joomla before you might like to skip this one.

1. Login to your Joomla installation by navigating to your site's administartor - ie http://www.mysite.com/administrator.

2. Click extensions --> install/Uninstall on your top menu.

 

3. Scroll down the page and click on the choose button to locate the template zip file on your hard drive. 

4. You should then receive the success message that the template has successfully been installed.

5. Navigate to extensions --> template manager from the top menu in the Joomla admin. Select the template we just uploaded and installed by click on the radio button on the left column and then click default in the upper right. You should now see the template you uploaded as the default template for your site and when you navigate to the front end of your site that template should now be displayed.
