grid 5 won't show

i changed the layout in the template from showing grid 6 to grid 5 in full width and removed the spacer.

i created a module with zentools2 to display the category "our rooms" and i added content to the category. this module is published in grid 5 on the home page.

If i put it in grid 5 it doesn't show. if i put it in grid 6, even though i removed grid 6 from the template it shows, along with the spacer.

not sure what is going on with this installations but it's very wonky and i have cleared my cache to check it's not just me.

resolved. i didn't realize that another template was assigned to the home page. i was working in wedding default and just realized wedding home was assigned to the home page.
