Properties for a custom module not showing up

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi there,

In the following website:

sanjorgeecolodges.com/

Scroll down to the bottom and you will see that the three components of the grid module are not showing the properties customly assigned such as 30px padding and a boxed theme for each component. Yes I clicked create a custom css file before saving.

Help. Thanks

Hi

I can't seem to see the zentools2 css file attached in the source code

Did you switch from master css to custom css?

Cheers
Paul

I am also seeing that alot of the custom.css that I have added is not affecting the template. For instance:

on "p" I added a maring of "margin: 0 0 35px;" and it is not affecting it as p lines are very close to each other.

I never knew how that worked and I might have changed from custom to master but I then change it back to custom.

ok i think we may be talking about different things - just to be sure we are on the same page >

There is a custom css option in the zentools2 module that offers the capability to style some elements displayed in the zentools2 module

and

the template custom.css file which is a css file that you add styles to - for the purpose of overriding template styles or adding your own individual styles

At the moment I still can't see a css file for this particular zentools module

When you select the custom css option in the module and then compile the custom css it creates a css file with the unique module ID

In the template custom.css file

I can see this applying

p {
margin: 0 0 35px;
}

Yes Paul,

I can see that it is applying the custom.css file annotations.

Nonetheless, I am mostly taking about the zentools grid module. I have selected the boxed option for each of the components and the text of each component is becoming boxed with a white background like in this module:

fancybirdphoto.com/bird-photo-tours
*scroll down to the bottom to see the same module

Thanks

Sorry Paul,

I think I was not very clear on my last request.

What I am trying to say is that for sanjorgeecolodges.com, I have added a grid zentools module in the bottom and I have selected the "boxed" option expecting for the container around the text of each component to become white just like it happens with the exact module on my other website fancybirdphoto.com/bird-photo-tours (you would have to scroll down to the bottom to see what I am talking about)

I hope I was a bit more clear

Thanks

Hi Jorge,

Have you created a custom css file option in the zentools2 module?

With the drag and drop section can you try having the image below the image in the drag and drop section

Hi Paul,

I am not really sure what you mean with drag-an-drop?

I need to make white white background appear in the text of each element.

Like here (scroll down to see what I am talking about.

The two examples you have look different in how they are displayed

In the module settings you select the elements you want to display and the order e.g.

image
introtext

But looking at the site sanjorgeecolodges.com/ you do have a boxed layout set up with a white background

Thanks Paul,

Apparently the white background only works if you add an image to the options sections. Though it has been a nightmare to make all items with same number of characters.

If less characters are used for the introtext than what is specified in truncate text options you get the top image twice.

Same if you set it to "not" truncate the text. The image appears twice. Again if you do not add an image to the option sections you do not get the "boxed feature"
