OK, I am obviously looking for the forest and can't see it with all these damn trees in my way...

-New site, fresh install.
-Put in Highline2 along with all recommended plug ins
-Activate plug ins
-Select Buildr as the default template and Highline as the style
-Ensure modules are in correct places
- Result: big blank white screen

Switch to another Joomla standard template, stuff comes up.. so it's not a problem with the Joomla install.

I know this is something simple and stupid but I am just not seeing it... Aaarrgghh!

Are you able to access the admin global config?

If so can you turn on error reporting to maximum

Does it break just on highline2 or different child themes?

I just downloaded all of these the other day...
I tried "onepage" and "base4" and got the same results

Also what php version is running on the server?

PHP is 5.3.29

ah that might be the problem - it needs to be 5.4+

PHP was the problem...

I see that there is a jump in versions. 5.4, 5.5, 5.6 then jumps to 7.0

Any reason I should or shouldn't set it to 7.0?

I'd go for 5.6 as 7.0 can be problematic
