First time I've tried one of the templates from this site. Is the grid of 9 images all in one grid (grid1 in the template) or is each image in a separate grid block?

Hi Laura,

This is 9 images inside a zentools2 module published to the grid1 position

In the options tab inside the module it uses the caption layout

and it uses images as the content source

Then in the content tab a folder is selected and the count is set to 9

Actually, I do. There is an overlay on the background. Since the "background" isn't shown in the template design panel, how do I remove it?

You can change the overlay in the background overlay section

It needs to be percentages

Are you familiar with how to use a template custom css file?

This is the line you would need to add

.zen-bg-overlay {background-image:none;}

If you have no idea what I'm talking about we can go through it
