A "social" bug in Grid4 and how to add a search field

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi!
If I enter in the tempalte Grid4 settings, and then I go out, the color settings of the social icons are lost.
I would also like to know how to add a search field to this template. I would like to add a field to search for articles and contents.
Thanks and cheers!

Hi

Are you seeing any error in the browser console window when saving in the template settings?

What memory is assigned to the hosting account?

With the Search are you referring to a search position or the search module?

Hi!
No, I don't see any error in browser, when I save and exit from template settings panel. Now I will check the hosting memory settings.
Thanks!
About second topic, I'm referring to a search module: how to index the website contents and display a proper search form?
Cheers

Joomla does come with a "smart search" feature

Have you Googled that?

Thanks for the link!
Is the memory setting in php.ini?
This is mine:
upload_max_filesize = 100M
post_max_size = 100M
upload_tmp_dir = /home/celitablogger/tmp
session.save_path = /home/celitablogger/tmp
And this is all. I do not know if you regard this kind of problems. I do not know if I do well to ask this to you.
Thanks!

Hi!

I've set

memory_limit = 512M

..in php.ini, but nothing is changed! The color of social icons changes to gray instead of blue, when I exit from template panel.

Is it only these settings that aren't changing?

Can you test with moving the social to another position?
and then move it back again

I think the issue is the toolbar colour is overriding any other styling

HI!
I tryed to move the social icons, but also the social icons position changes after saving the template settings. The first time the position is that I set, but if I try to save a second time the template settings then the social icons position changes.

ok with the styling

.social-wrap span {color: #1b95e0;}
.fixed .menu-wrapper .zen-icon {color: #1b95e0;}

Change the colour as required

Does this work better?

In addition to the problem of the loss of the social icons of color settings, which occurs when you exit the panel of the template settings, also the settings of their position are lost.

See you in about 20 hours...

Thanks and cheers!

Hi!
In short, the situation is this: when I save and exit from template control panel, some settings, like social icons position and color, are lost.
What is the purpose of the template control panel if I have to use custom.css?
Cheers!
