displaying iFrame instead of a photo in a Zentools 2 module

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I've set up a zentools 2 module. When a user clicks on an item, I'd like to pop up a lightbox with and iFrame. Is that possible? If so, how?

Hi

When you say iframe do you mean video or something else?

Something else.
For instance, I created this page:
degrootschilders.colorjinn.com/index.php/keukens
And like to make appear something like this:
widget.colorjive.s3.amazonaws.com/widget.html?colorjinn%20free:kitchen%20cottage%2001%20free
in a lightbox when clicking an image.

Hi

Could you attach the code you are adding in a text file and attach it to this thread

Thanks Paul, but I don't have any code other than this url:
widget.colorjive.s3.amazonaws.com/widget.html?colorjinn%20free:kitchen%20cottage%2001%20free
which in most cases runs within an iframe. I've successfully placed similar webapps in Joomla bamboo templates before, for instance here:
colorjinn.com/products/colorjive-widgets.
But I don't know how to make it work with the Zentools 2 module. I could obviously place the iframe on another page, but I would prefer it to appear in a lightbox.
BTW, my technical knowledge is limited, which I why I choose to work with a template.

Hi

With the video it will struggle to be responsive

What content source are you planning to use?

I selected the image in the drag and drop section and loaded the article in a lightbox

in the lightbox settings - Display video instead of image removes the image from the lightbox

I've skimmed through the process a little so can elaborate but it would mean some coding work to make the iframe responsive

I'm not sure what you mean. As said, I want to load a webapp such as this:
widget.colorjive.s3.amazonaws.com/widget.html?colorjinn%20free:kitchen%20cottage%2001%20free
into the lightbox, by using an iframe.
it will struggle to be responsive
You mean responsive as in the ability to adapt to different screensizes? Or responsive in the sense of responding to user input? The former we can probably fix in the webapp. The latter will be a serious problem.

Yes please...

The iframe is a fixed size so will need to work on it to see if you can adjust for this when the screen is narrower than the width values

Running through the steps

I have an article with an image in the Images and Links section

The image is in the intro image input

The iframe code is added using the iframe tag to the article

I am assuming you have selected the option to add iframes to articles - if you don't know how to do this I can explain

If you add the iframe code and on save it disappears then I need to explain this bit

I would try matching the image size dimensions to the size of the iframe you are loading

I'm getting a black bar on my local version and i think that might be it

Moving on to the module - zentools2

Content source JOOMLA

In the drag and drop section I've got just IMAGE

on clicking the image section I've got to it load in a LIGHTBOX

If you scroll down to the lightbox settings still in the options tab

Lightbox settings

I've got Display video instead of image ENABLED

This swaps the image to display the iframe code - videos use iframes so the module see's it as a video

Then moving to the content tab at the top I've selected the item by chosing

Select from items or categories = ITEM

and then selecting the article

Which gives me

load-via-iframe.jpg

I'm assuming you are loading the module directly into the article?
