Linking an article

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I have a grid of images that when you click on an image, the light-box effect kicks in and up pops a larger image on screen.

I want a link on the image so when clicked on it will take me to another article within my site.

I tried following the instructions giving by Andy in the link below, but they do not work for me.

Hi

With the content link it can't link to both lightbox and article in the same module - is this what you trying to do?

Cheers

Could I possibly ask you to have a quick view of this page:

www.mushroomhouse.co.uk/index.php/michael

If you click on the image of "footstool" it just pops up larger in the centre of the screen. I do not want it to pop up.

I want the click to take you to a new article page called footsools.

Perhaps I am using the wrong type of module?

Hi Michael,

In this case you would need to add the links manually

This isn't a problem but is something to be aware of -

With working on a development site once you uploaded the site you would need to change the links

In here you add the links you want the images to point to

(this is in the content tab of the zentools2 module - sorry forgot that bit)

You may need to enable this setting in the content tab -

Use prefix for images

And then name the images in the same way otherwise you may find images aren't pointing at the correct page

e.g. first image needs to be the first link and second image the second link etc

I'm wondering if I am using the wrong type of module, because this first screen shot you have posted saying "Change this to content" I cannot find within my module.

Hi Micheal,

Do you not see this section?

From the top down in this section >

I've selected grid and chosen images and dragging across the image into the drag and drop section

Then clicked the arrow next to image settings

Yes I can see that window. But I cheated, I saved a copy of the
"Grid-Example-6" module, renamed it and went into content and chose my own folder of images.

Keerching! The penny has just dropped! Thanks for your patience as always.
