How do I create a mega menu in Buil.r?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi, I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I have downloaded the Build.r template and want to replicate the drop down menu as shown in the demo, or edit one of the existing demo menus with my own menu items with nested menu items appearing as drop-downs.
I have checked the Zen plugin has been enabled.
I have entered basic settings within the Zen Menu tab (only 'subtitle' and 'icon' work)
I have looked for settings within the Template Manager (where the mega menu settings used to be)
I have read the instructions in the documentation, but clearly I am missing something, because the parent menu items are not showing a new dropdown, and menus with existing drop-downs are not updating to show the sub-menu items I need.

So, I do I specify that I want a drop down to appear on a specific menu parent item, then how do I specifiy which sub-menu items will appear under the parent item/ Then how do I customise how the drop down list will appear, e.g how manu columns etc?

Hi Fiona,

Do you have access to a quickstart or the ability to install one locally - it might be worth comparing that with your site?

Do you have columns enabled e.g. 4 and full width set to yes?

Do you have a link for the site at the moment?

Hi, I have moved an existing sub-menu to ABout Usss, and it works. But the other sub-menu item I need under About Usss doesn't appear.

Cache and browser history has been cleared.

Hi

In the parent link in the zen menu tab are you setting the columns?
Are you using full width?

Lordy lordy! I KNEW it would be something stupid like that!!!!! I'm soooo sorry. I didn't think to check this because I didn't change the setting.

Anyway, sorry to have wasted your time. I REALLY AM.

No probs

As you need to login via the front end to see the site there can't be a guest as such

Also guest level can cause people with admin access problems as they can't see the menu link I think
