Box sizing question/problem

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi Guys

Just a quick one that you can hopefully help with, take a look at

jbcameron.rfatestsite.com.au/

The 'Whats Happening' box lines up as the same size as the images to its left in Chrome, but in Firefox and IE the 'What's happening' box is showing as slightly larger than the images to the left.

I thought that the normalize.css would have taken care of this one, but it doesn't seem to be working. Any thoughts on how I could correct this?

Cheers

Hi Paul

That's it, I just can't figure out why I'm getting the different heights.

hmm I have seen on other sites slight variations in font rendering

and also

very small variations in the calculations of percentages in some circumstances due to browser differences in the rounding up or down of values

Have you tried changing the font as a test?
Have you also tried changing the line-height as a test?

Cheers

Hi Paul

I had tried changing both those, but a quick google search and I found what looks like a solution/cause, I changed the line height from em to px and that seems to have fixed it across all browsers. Because we had set the body font size in px we needed to set an explicit px value for the line height.

Mind you I haven't had to do this before, so you learn something new everyday. Gotta love those cross browser bugs.
