Just curious as to why, when I duplicate (or save as copy) a buildr template style, I don't actually get a duplicate or a copy, I just get a default 'Xero' configuration. Maybe I'm doing something...wrong?

live server. this has happened to me several times, not just on my http development server.

Are you using the same template style e.g. backgrounder, koan etc?

That's what I assume 'Duplicate' means... Buildr > Standard > all positions > my saved theme variations. What I get is default Xero....something. Basically, starting over from scratch, not with a duplicate.

Yes. The same result.

Can you try this

Save a copy of a template theme - note its id

Also note the id of the template style you want to copy e.g. the template style with the good settings

Open up this path

\templates\buildr\settings\config

delete the json file for the latest style created (the copy)

Copy the json file with the settings you do want to copy and paste the file e.g. so you have a duplicate

Rename the file with id of the file you deleted


Make sure you have a backup in case you delete the original

why that almost makes the 'duplicate template style' button seem like work.

creating a copy of the json file you want

deleting the one you don't

renaming the json copy to match the name of the json file deleted
