social sharing conflict

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

I cannot hunt this down. I have this conflict on the renamed Build.r Template but not on the installed Build.r template so there must be a path problem I forgot to update in the rename version, or something.

Still in development so parts may not work yet, 3aaa.asia/.

Social share issues are:
Pinterest launches new window/tab, no share
Twitter launches double pop-up
G+ launches double pop-up

Thanks,
Helen

Hi Helen,

Is this the latest version of buildr?

What theme as part of buildr is it using?

With Twitter and G+ are you still seeing a double pop up as I only seem to see 1

Hi Paul,

Build.r 1.3.2

Build.r Xero theme works

I can't remember what theme I used as I renamed it... Any way I can check this?

Double pop-ups in FireFox and Safari, but in Chrome just one pop-up.

It does NOT happen on my other sites using Build.r even renamed or on this one if I use the original install of Build.r. Just one the renamed template. So I am puzzled.

Think it has anything to do with Bootstrap 3? This is the only one that I am using it.

With it not happening on other sites - are you referring to both issues?

The other sites work as expected. Both issues are not present on other sites or with this site if using Build.r install. Just this renamed template. It does use Bootstrap 3 which is different, if that matters.

The files that control the social links in the template are:

/tpls/blocks/social.php
/tpls/blocks/social/facebook.php
/tpls/blocks/social/gplus.php
/tpls/blocks/social/pinterest.php
/tpls/blocks/social/twitter.php

Check that the renamed sites files are the same as the files in the sites where the links work correctly.

Hi,

Looks like I made a silly mistake. Had both the Social module and the Social Mobile module in the design, thinking the Social Mobile wouldn't kick in until that breakpoint was reached. But it looks like that is not the case.

So, how can you have Social Mobile in there?

Thanks,
Helen

Hi Helen,

Can you please open a ticket for this with ftp or super-admin details?

I think it has recently been fixed and I can add the fix to your site.
