Mess after the update from Joomla! 3.6.2 to 3.6.3

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,

I am using the template Buildr with 3 different styles.
Today I updated the joomla Version from 3.6.2 to 3.6.3.
Now all the pages are displayed only with default style and other styles do not work.
I tried to reload pages with appropriate styles, it does not change anything.
I tired to save the template styles again, nothing happens.
Are you aware of the problem or is this particular only on my site?
I appreciate for any help.
Thank you and
Best Regards,

Hi Ichiro,

Sorry to hear this.

We've not had any other reports of issues with the theme.

Could you please open up a support ticket with access details so we can take a look for you?

Thanks,

Rob

I'm not sure what issues you are referring to - can you clarify?

With 3.6.3 you will need to clear your browser cache to work with module manager

Any caching even server caching will need to flushed e.g. even server caching like Supercache on siteground

Hi,

Not so much a contribution to this debate as a question.

SInce update first to 3.6.3 and now to 3.6.4, it has become impossible to edit modules... The screen loads and then you get the dreaded circle of death and can't actually edit the module concerned.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so can they point to the way to solve it, please?

Thanks

OK I answered my own question - clearing the browser cache sorted the problem.

Hi,

the issues on my site are not solved yet.
Now with 3.6.4, nothing was changed.
Maybe it occured due to the the site with several styles on multi-language site (three languages used on my site) .
The issues which I have is very similar with the one written on the following page.
(I am not using modal window)

Hi Ichiro

Can you post a link to the site.

The JB support are likely to need it, and subject to my workload I'll see if I can spot anything. Sorry if your post got hijacked.

Otherwise it may be best to open a support ticket as Rob suggested so the JB team can help fully investigate. They would need full access details that you should not provide via a public forum of course.

Hi ichiro,

Apologies over the hijacking of the thread I should have moderated the first user to post and renamed your thread a little

I will talk to the developers but looks like a core Joomla issue at this stage

sorry for any confusion

Hi,

Hijacking? I don't understand what you mean and what's going on.
But, anyway, it is kind of you helping me a hand.
I already opened the ticket last week and gave Rob the admin-password.
He first advised me to take a roll back to 3.6.2, and then wrote me later that it might be better wait for 3.6.4 which shall solve my issue.

My Site: http://www.euro-japan.net

All the pages are displayed only on the default style "Buildr - responsive", even if several pages and menus are using other template styles.
It happened right after the update from 3.6.2. to 3.6.3.
Furthermore, I found later that it is not particular issue of the Joomlabamboo.
It is not possible to select any other template at all.
As my knowledge is not good enough, I hesitate exchanging the "core files of Joomla".
I have a bad experience.
So I prefer taking a clean install of Buildr on new subdomain again.
But now I cannot do due to the lack of time.
I wrote here again instead of asking Rob further, because I thought that someone maybe has a similar issue or eventually some tips.

Thank you

Ichiro

Hi Ichiro,

Sorry with "hijacking" I was referring to other issues posting to this thread and confusing the issue in addressing your problem

I'll talk to the team about your issue again

If anyone else runs into an issue like this.

This particular one was caused by a 3rd party extension called 'DJClassifeds'.

This is related to a change in Joomla 3.6.3 where extensions can cause issues throughout a site, rather than just within their own component output. This is the same when the extensions are disabled.
