is it possible to remove the “advanced search” button from the search options – and just keep the “search” button?

HI,

This looks like it is the component search page rather than the module output?

If so, there are some options in the menu item settings as to which parts show on the page.

If you do not have a menu item for the search results, then to control the output, you need to make a menu item of the type search (Or smart search if you are using the smart search module) and then select that menu item as the item to render the search results on in the module settings.
