I need to edit some core blocks in the build.r template.

For example the off canvas nav files. Do i need create overides for these files or are they excluded if the template was updated?

I cannot find any reference to them in the documentation.

Apologies for the delay and apologies that this isn't documented yet.

But you can just drop the file with your edits into the custom/blocks folder and the template will use that file rather than the one in the tpls/blocks folder.

So copy the off-canvas.php from tpls/blocks to custom/blocks and it will pick your edits up there and those files will not get overwritten in any updates.
