Hello -

I have just started customizing a section of a website with the Corporation theme. This is my first experience with Zen Grid having some difficulty with creating, saving changes to and reloading a custom theme in Zen Grid 4.

Not sure what step I am missing or if I am doing things in the wrong order. Hopefully I making a simple mistake - one embarrassingly obvious.

I have read the Corporation template and Zen Grid 4 documentation. I watched the video. It seems like I am doing everything correctly but I still can't save and reload saved changes to the theme. I even deleted the entire template and reinstalled - exact same results.

I have saved a custom template style and can save layout changes to it with out trouble. My custom template style is called "Sabina 100"

Next, I loaded the "[example} blues" theme and and in the little text box for the theme name renamed it "blues 100" . When I look at the template files i can see there is a "blues 100" theme but the name of my new theme doesn't appear in the dropdown for theme style if I "save and close" and return later to resume customizing my template.

Any changes made to the theme immediately are gone the next time I open the Zen Grid 4 Framework. In fact in between "saves" even if I don't close the Framework any changes I make are gone. So that if I change one thing - let's say a link color, then I compile and save, and I want to make another change I can't reload my previous customizations. Everything defaults back to the original "[example] blues' theme.

It's actually a section of a site built in the Motion template so I have both the templates, Motion and Corporation installed and assigned to different pages. Eventually I want to reassign all the pages to Corporation.

If you have the browser console tab open do you see an error on save?

I uninstalled admin tools and still have trouble. Also my webhost says I have my server resources fairly high.

Where would the error message appear?

The error message would display in the browser console tab

"I have my server resources fairly high" - what is the memory limit you have on the account?

Problem seems to be solved! when instead of Blues I loaded the corporation-bootstrap2 theme and turned on bootstrap 2 on in the settings. I am able to save the theme with my own name and customize it - them save and close and reload it.

I am not sure why I needed to turn on bootstrap. Could it be that I have an extension installed that is using bootstrap?

I've not heard of an issue like this being fixed with enabling bootstrap - Certainly odd

Just wondering if perhaps an incorrect value had been adding to the settings and switching them meant it didn't display

Have you managed to discover if an extension did need bootstrap to work?

Problem returned on 05 - 07 - 2016. I tried saving without bootstrap again. It is still hanging.

Maybe it is an incorrect value as you suggested because i made a lot of color changes. I will put in a ticket.

Same issue ... I saw some really weird thing on my apply/look/save/restore my custum template process.

Is it possible to edit directly the ./corporation/less/template-generated.less file and compile it to the dedicate the /corporation/css/theme.green.css ?

TEST:
Going template
1. choose exemplp template green
2. change the Tertiary color
3. save button
