2 questions: save and compile - back to top

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,
I have two questions for you:
1) When I want to ad a background to the template using the option in the Theme area, save and compile (compiling less to css) goes on forever. When I change the background-option back to Inherit during the proces, save and compile takes only a few seconds to complete.
2) I activated the 'back to top'-button and it shows up when you start scrolling down a page, but it doesn't become active (i.c. clickable) until you have reached the very bottom of a page. Is this a normal behaviour?
Kind Regards,
Jos

Hi Paul,

I tried a JPG file of 3000x3000 pixels ( 276 kB), a JPG file of 400x400 pixels (21 kB) and a PNG file of 400x400 pixels (42 kB).

Kind Regards,
Jos

Hi Paul,

I tried them separately, one at a time and with all three of them compiling went on forever.

Jos

Hi Paul,

At last I succeeded in adding the background image using the 3000x3000 PNG-file. I reduced the size to 1920x1920 and then cropped it to 1920x800. I exported it as a JPG-file witch I uploaded to the basic Joomla image-folder.
Don't know why, but now using this JPG compiling less to css works as it should and the background image shows up in the template. It is a bit too high however. Do you know witch height I have to use?

Kind Regards,
Jos

Hi Jos,

Sorry I didn't get round to testing

When you say high do you mean the positioning of the background image or that image doesn't cover the whole background?

Hi Paul,

No problem at all!
In the showcase-template the bottom of the background image equals the bottom of the banner-position in the template (they are in line). In my case the bottom of the background image is quit a bit lower. I don't know if that is caused by the height of the image.

Kind Regards,
Jos

Hi Jos,

If you add

#zentools-287.zentools .zt-item {margin-bottom:0;padding-bottom:0}
#zentools-287.zentools .zt-block {margin:0;}

Does that work for you?

Cheers

Yeah, right. But they didn't solve my problem!
Don't want to nag, but I also had a question about the 'back to top' option (go back to the top of this post................... :) )

Right yes sorry forgot about that one

I think that may be a bug with the template css so I will need to check with Anthony on that and get back to you
