In ZT2 I want to the category to select one of the child categories - but show the parent name. I haven't (yet) figured out how to do this, or whether it's even ... possible?

the intention is that the category name is just text. A complicating factor is that one of the categories is in a component (not a joomla category, in other words).

I was able to do the job with regular's modules anywhere, 3 hours, and 100 lines of css.

Using modules anywhere to organize two ZT2 modules, and two JBusiness component items. So ZT2 is still involved, but the sketch on the client's napkin wanted a configuration I originally wanted to try with ZT2 alone. After all, ZT2 is the biggest hammer in the toolbox.
